VMware Server and Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition
The recently released VMware Server product is an extremely useful tool for developers or anyone that needs to set up and take down systems quickly for development, testing and support. We've been using the VMware Server product to set up test environments for new versions of SalesLogix.
After setting up a virtual machine for Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition we noticed that the mouse was extremely choppy and hesitant, making the VM virtually unusable (pun intended). After searching around, this page led the way to a solution: http://www.iceteks.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3719&. By pushing the hardware acceleration up to the max, the mouse began to respond snappily.
Hope this link makes someone struggling with this issue happy.
